Inside the comfort and construction of the Dublin Black

At Pintta, comfort is never an afterthought. It is part of the design process from the very first construction decision.

In the Dublin Black, every layer and material is selected to support refined everyday wear, combining traditional European shoemaking with discreet functional improvements.

The leather sole used in this model is intentionally softer than standard leather outsoles. This choice improves flexibility while walking and allows the shoe to adapt more naturally to the movement of the foot over time.

Between the sole and the lasting insole, a natural cork layer is applied. This layer helps regulate temperature inside the shoe and contributes to a more stable and comfortable internal environment throughout the day.

The interior of the Dublin Black is fully lined with high-quality cow leather. This lining supports breathability, reduces excessive perspiration on warmer days and helps prevent unpleasant odours, while offering a softer contact surface against the foot.

The lasting insole itself is made from premium leather — the highest quality typically used in traditional construction. This layer contributes to structural stability, long-term comfort and the overall quality of the shoe.

To complete the experience, the Dublin Black features Pintta’s latex comfort insole. This final layer is designed to absorb impact and distribute pressure more evenly, allowing you to reach the end of the day without discomfort in the sole of the foot, while preserving the elegant profile of a classic leather shoe.

Every component is selected for its performance, feel and longevity. The result is a refined construction that supports comfort without compromising design, materials or European shoemaking tradition.

The Dublin Black is handmade in Portugal, following a manual construction process that respects craft heritage while discreetly improving everyday wearability.
