The Philosophy Behind Pintta – Crafting Exclusive Designer Shoes in Portugal
At Pintta, we don’t produce for the masses. We design exclusive designer footwear for people who value originality and individuality. Each pair is handmade with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring every customer owns a truly unique piece.
How a Pintta model is born
The process begins with the selection of a few soles. Luís envisions a version for each, analyzing which best fits Pintta’s identity.
Next, around 10 or more designs are created for each sole until the final design is chosen. Then comes the prototype stage, where distances, heights, and comfort are evaluated.
Once expectations are met, several color and material combinations are developed — a process that can take weeks. Still on paper, painted with the closest colors and patterns, a new selection decides which models move to sample production.
In each collection, 20 to 30 models may never leave the paper.
Catalogue and production
After sample selection, the most attractive models are chosen. The catalogue is prepared by Luís with a professional photography team, defining settings and compositions. Once ready, the catalogue is shown to clients and partners who select models for their stores.
Production then begins — simultaneously, boxes and custom wrapping paper are prepared.
Finally, a Pintta team travels 600 km to inspect each pair individually, ensuring a high-quality product for the final consumer.
